A former Senior Planning Enforcement Officer, Mark has 14 years of planning experience gained from working in the Planning Department at North Somerset Council.
Mark is a former member of both NAPE (the RTPI affiliated Network for Planning Enforcement) and the South West Federation of Enforcement Officers. During his time with North Somerset Council Mark advised on planning and enforcement matters including the various stages of the planning process, resolving enforcement issues, dealing with all types of notices, and undertaking appeal work.
Mark has also acted as an official witness at Public Inquiry hearings and at prosecution proceedings brought before the courts.

Amanda has 16 years of experience in Planning and Environmental Law. Her career has spanned being a solicitor for private law firms as well as for the Environment Agency and Bristol City Council.
Her knowledge of planning law is extensive, and together with the experience from both sides of the planning process, enables her to deliver the results clients need.
Amanda’s specialities include advising on enforcement issues and Certificates of Lawfulness, appeals (including advocacy), as well as assisting clients in s.106 negotiations.
Amanda is active in the local community being a member of Soroptomists International and supporting local charities.
Rebecca will more than likely be the first person you speak to when calling SPLS as she manages the SPLS office and provides all the administrative, financial and secretarial support to the SPLS team.
Rebecca joined the team at the beginning of 2015 and brings with her extensive experience
in administrative and office management in the automotive, telecommunications and legal sectors.

After many years of working in planning law Amanda Sutherland formed the consultancy in January 2006 to offer clients a more personalised service. The consultancy began with only one client and a number of contacts and has grown organically to now employing a team of three.
